Comment on The Write Eye!
You, as the reader, are the most important part of The Write Eye. It is your comment that enables a community-based, blogosphere-wide, healthy, knowledgeable discussion to start…and go places! So, go right ahead, comment and let’s make a difference!
Also, please take a moment to read The Write Eye Five-Point Comments Policy given below:
Comments are always welcome!
They are as important as articles and have enough scope to be more important with time. They add to the knowledge and community that we have here. If you want to comment then you’re more than welcome–whether you feel you are a beginner or an expert–feel free to have your say!
Spam is unethical and prohibited
The Write Eye spam filters automatically catch the majority of automated spam comments. Nobody puts up with it and if any slip through the filters they are manually deleted it immediately. This may not stop any spammer–even those reading this–but they will at least know what the rest of the genuine community feels.
Relevant links are actively encouraged
If you’re leaving a comment on any article and want to point to a link on your own or someone else’s site that is relevant to the topic then please feel free to do so. This adds to the conversation and improves the blog. However, due to the abovementioned point on spammers, only one link will be passed; comments with more than one link will also be allowed, but will first be manually checked for validity. Please bear with the same.
Irrelevant links are not encouraged
Parenthetical to the previous point, if you leave a comment with a link in it that has no relevance to the post you’re commenting on it could be be deleted. This is a trend that I see happening increasingly in the blogosphere. For people who want to publicise their blogs/sites no matter how irrelevant, please know that there are other places you can do it. Instead of wasting you time here where your comment will ultimately be deleted if it is irrelevant, look for a place where your comment actually fits in. There surely are some such places out there!
Sign your comments–they are yours after all
At the risk of being spams in themselves, signing of comments was not allowed in most blogs; but The Write Eye allows you to sign your comments provided that
- Your signature is spam-free
- You allow your first signature to be manually reviewed before comment approval
- You sign the same way for every comment you make
- You allow your comment to be re-sent for manual validation every time you alter your signature in any way.
